Help for Seniors on Scams & Identify Theft

The Financial Literacy Resource Center is designed to increase financial literacy among older adults and to decrease the likelihood they will fall victim to financial abuse and fraud. The Financial Literacy Resource Center is located in the Beltrone Living Center and features a library of information on topics such as Identifying Consumer Fraud, Debt & Credit Counseling, and Identity Theft. Self-service hours are weekdays from 9- 5. Appointments are available for assistance on signing up for the Do Not Call & Do Not Mail lists; downloading FREE Credit Reports; using the Consumer Fraud Checklist & more. To make an appointment for the 2nd Friday of the month between 1:30-3:30 pm please call the Senior Resources Dept. at 459-5051. For additional appointment times, please call Lauren Benoit at 442-5833.
