For over 30 years, Colonie Senior Service Centers has been about people, families, and community . . . committed to helping seniors stay active and independent. Our programs and services offer innovative solutions for seniors and their families to help them enjoy life and stay in the community they know and love. We strive to make all of our programs and services accessible, affordable and reliable so that you and your loved ones are able to choose what you need, when you need it.

Bright Horizons

  • Three vibrant social centers, Bright Horizons at Colonie, Clifton Park and Guilderland provide respite for caregivers and a social day program for older adults.

Driver Fitness Center

  • Helps older adults drive safer and longer by empowering and educating seniors with information, tools and resources.

Financial Resource Center

  • Provides valuable information on consumer fraud, debt & credit counseling, identity theft, and more.
  • Designed to increase financial literacy among older adults and to decrease the likelihood they will fall victim to financial abuse or fraud. 

Healthy Aging

  • Activities and classes focus on prevention and wellness, with many opportunities to get out and get active.

King Thiel Senior Community

  • Premier, affordable senior living
  • Pastoral and verdant, the 21 acre site features beautiful grounds and adjoining woodlands surrounding the 96-unit apartment home community.

Lakeview Catering

  • Premiere catering held in the Lakeview Room at the Beltrone Living Center.

Senior Dining*

  • Senior Dining, an Albany County Congregate Meal Program, provides a delicious hot lunch at 7 neighborhood locations where seniors meet and socialize.

  • A warm, friendly community for seniors with limited income.
  • Beautifully maintained facility and grounds with true comfort and character.

The Beltrone Living Center

  • Everything is better at Beltrone!
  • One of the Capital Region’s premier independent senior living residences.

The Tool Box

  • Volunteer handyman run, donation based, resale shop selling used tools and hardware.

Transportation Services*

  • Van and wheelchair service available Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm for medical appointments, pharmacy visits, shopping, social activities and other errands.
  • Plus Good Turns Senior Escort Service for those who need additional assistance.

Umbrella of Colonie*

  • Helps senior homeowners remain independent in their home by connecting them with reliable, affordable handymen.
  • Focus is on safety and fixing small problems before they become major repairs.

Volunteer Opportunities and RSVP

  • The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) offers a diverse range of volunteer activities that serve communities throughout the nation.

  • Sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service, Colonie Senior Service Centers is the Capital Region provider of RSVP.


All programs and services are funded through fundraising efforts and participant contributions.

No membership is required to participate in these programs and services.
